Unsigned handwritten notes on both sides of an 8.25 x 10.5 sheet of lined loose-leaf paper. Jackson pens 16 notes, all of which appear to be band names or song titles. Some of the notes read (with grammar and spelling retained), “Earth Wind and Fire Magic Mind,” “Knee Deep Parliiment Funkadelics,” “Jerry and pacemakers Dont’ Let the sun catch you cryin, Ferry cross the mercy,” “I want it now Willie Wonka,” and “Walk on Wild Side Jimmy Smith.” In fine condition, with a few light bends and creases. Handwritten to do list on an off-white 5.5 x 8.25 sheet for his personal assistant Evelyn ‘Evvy’ Tavasci. Jackson’s requests, written in pencil, ballpoint, and felt tip include “More Sega Dream Cast games,” “Order WWF Smack Down,” and “mail comics to Africa.” The reverse of the list has some German telephone numbers written by Jackson in pencil. In very good condition, with central horizontal and vertical fold, and scattered soiling and wrinkling. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Item originates from the collection of a family that befriended Jackson on tour in the mid-1990s. Ultra-rare Thriller record release party invitation. Invitation is in the form of a white right-handed cotton glove, with a snap closure on the wrist. Print on the palm reads, “Michael Jackson Thriller Party, 2/7/84, 9PM, American Museum of Natural History…Black Tie.” In fine condition. RR Auction COA.
Souvenir handwritten lyrics to ‘Black or White,’ two pages, 8.5 x 11, signed in the upper right of the first page in black felt tip, “Michael Jackson.” Jackson pens 23 lines of lyrics to the song, in full (spelling and grammar retained): “Black or White/ I took my baby on/ a Saturday bang/ Boy is that girl with/ Yes were one and the same/ I believe in miraclis/ and a miracal is happening/ tonight/ But if youre thinkin bout my/ Baby it don’t matter if/ your black or white/ I took my message to/ the Saturday Sun/ I had to tell them I am/ second to none/ and I told them bout/ equality and its true/ either your wrong or/ your right/ But if your thinkin/ of being my baby/ it don’t matter if your/ black or white.” Attractively mounted, cloth-matted, and framed with an image from the ‘Black or White’ album sleeve and a nameplate to an overall size of 37.5 x 22.
